Can anyone suggest some basic 1-2-3 tips and advice on how to create guild emblems?
So I have been using CorelDraw 12 to resize a picture I want as a guild emblem. I have been messing around with the dimensions, but I can't quite seem to get the hang of it. When I resize the dimensions 24x24 bit pixels, I end up distorting everything and it looks bad.
Can anyone suggest what I can do? I would greatly appreciate any advice given.

its not just resizing, you need to know how to pixelate pictures and make up for the graphics loss and distortions by drawing them yourself. it's not that easy which is why i get offered 200-300m to make emblems

So you mean to say if I drew my own guild emblem scan it and upload it to the computer and resize it with CorelDraw to 24x24 it wont be distorted? Or how about if I print a picture of the image I want, and then scan it and do the same process, will that work as well? Sorry, I am a new learner to this CorelDraw and Photoshop program.

Pretty much no matter what you do, if you shrink a large image down to such a small size it is always going to be distorted.
By drawing them yourself, she means recreating it by hand at the 24x24 size, pixel by pixel. Paint is pretty nifty for learning on, and it comes free with windows.
Sometimes when you resize them they are somewhat salvageable, or at least usable as a guide when you're re-creating it.

I just make a 24 x 24 image on Paint Shop Pro and then draw it in pixel by pixel.
Other times, you can definitely shrink down an image, though it should already be small to begin with and it can't be too detailed. This was some rainbow clouds with the sun shining through on the top right corner. You can see how much detail is lost.
A tip for resizing images... No matter what program I use, I continually find that Microsoft Word actually does the best job of keeping image quality when resizing. Weird, I know. o_o;
Example:
I resized the left one with Photoshop. I resized the right one with Microsoft Word.
So... Yeah. I honestly can't figure out why a WORD PROCESSING PROGRAM does a better job of resizing than something meant for drawing. Can someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong? D:

just use paint or use photoshop and use the 24x24 resolution for the whole picture and fit whatever you want the emblem to be inside of there with pixel by pixel, if you play mine craft, 1 block = 1 pixel and you can make a 64x64 frame and build it that way in-game so it would be like a 3d version but flat if you're need more visual help since you can zoom in and out easier on minecraft and get a better view.
